I was saying it while waking, and still repeating it, as though this message had to be remembered. It happened again, one morning before attending to a gathering, I woke-up saying, "There are five of me today."

Each time you are made conscious of who you are, how many "yous" are there? I find it ironic, but true. You may have read this long before your eyes attempted to read these words. Which you was that?

In a poem I was recently inspired to write, "Time passed me by before I knew what time it was;

Time passed me by before time was."

You sometimes have a knowingness that the one you love, you have known before. And you sometimes have a knowingness that the one you meet you have met before, or a knowingness that you may have had a certain conversation you are having in the past, etc. These knowings are no coincidences. Things do happen outside of time, or in a timeless time. And so, which you was it that had that knowing? The you that now reads these words is busy processing what they mean. There might be a you that knows very well what they mean, and so on...

This message is simple, appearing like mere play on words, simple and ironic, but far reaching and life altering. This message puts into perspective a certain angle by which one might contemplate the very important question of "Who am I?" Because here, one may ask, "Which you is asking?"

Some days you wake-up with an angry you. Some days you wake-up with a you in love. Some days you wake-up with a divinely inspired you, and each one in its respective manners, postures, and positions in the entire cosmos reveals to you some aspect of who you are.

Can we bring all these "yous" into a coherent whole? Can you deny one, punish the other, etc. and still understand the story whole? How do we find the coherent whole "I" with all this "stuff" about us; hate, love, jealousy, suppression, chaos, stress, etc.?

Some say they love you and change their minds rather quickly. Some say they love you, and they are the very special kind that don't just say these words, and they also very radically disown you. Some say they love you and stand by you. Who you are and who they are in such times that you experience this great love reveals much about the nature of that love.

Angels 3

Q: You've mentioned that we can begin working with Angels by using 'good' words. Some of the examples you've shared imply that we are already working with Angels, though we may not be aware of it. Can you expand on how we can invoke the presence of Angels and be aware of it? Are there exercises that we should do as beginners?

H: This is a topic we could get into at some length. I could answer it in several different ways. I see that you want a “cut and dry” answer, so to say. I guess I do get carried away into explaining things a bit too much. That is a common complaint.

The first answer I will give is that I prefer not to think of Angels as separate entities, as I have said before, but this is difficult for the mind to digest. The mind says, “How do I think of something without a reference point?” The mind needs some kind of image. And even if formless light appears, the mind still wants to find an explanation. Although it is difficult to have this approach, and see ourselves as aspects of the Angels and even the Angels themselves, it is possible to consider. So the first answer is, become more aware of who you are and you will become more aware of the Angel’s presence. It is this line of thinking that I want to promote. I mean, we could get into all these images, names, and functions, and there are many books written about that, but in the end you need to know it as second nature; sense it like your drinking or breathing. This way is the hardest way, because it is closest to us, but it is also the simplest way.

Now, I know that people always want to know how it happens, what happens, and exactly what simple images and functions can be assigned to sensing the presence of the Angels. I mean, the mind thinks that way. You may not be asking the question that way, but that is what the mind thinks when it says and points to something called “Angels”, which is why there are exercises. For example, it is common to find books that will say things like, “How to contact your Angel.” But you already have contacted your Angels and you are in their presence.

So, I like the fact that you have stressed “becoming aware”. To answer that, again, refer to your own question, “Invoke their presence and become aware.” I have turned the question itself into an answer, because in a way, it is a very smart question. Whenever there is this question of “how”, it is the mind saying "show me", but it is better to ask “why”. Have you invoked the presence of the Angels? Why did you not experience their presence? Or when you did, why did you experience their presence? You see, “why” is more important, because another can not tell you “how”. This also means, it prompts you to remember the fact that you have the presence of the Angels in your life. Think about it. The reason why many “how to” books don’t work and they sit there on the shelves, especially spiritual “how to” books, is because of this. If it was a question of something mechanical, like the engine of your car, then it might work. But when it comes to who you are, it is very difficult, you see! That is why all these “how to” books on spirituality don’t work, because we know it has to do with cultivating human belief. It has to do with faith, love, patience, sincerity, and so on. That is why, as you have pointed out from previous discourses, it is best to begin with “good” words. And as I have said, turn your attention quickly to truthfulness.

So, we address the Angels and say “them”. Who are they? And we are saying, because they are us, don’t think about that, because the mind can’t fix it. Instead contemplate on goodness and truthfulness and review how truthful your day was. You know. You know when the Angels' presence was there today. Just become aware of it.

As to the very tangible form and presence of an Angel, I am thinking of a good example. A simpler answer is like a scene out of the Movie, City of Angels, with the actor Nicolas Cage. There is a scene in which the Angels are interfering in a drug store rubbery. One of the Angels, who seems to mentor the other (Nicolas Cage), makes a point by accomplishing the task of intervening and saving lives, and then says, “They don’t need to see us.” It is true. What does not pertain to us we don’t need to see and experience and what we are ready to experience, we will. But as to the final answer, again, instead of asking “how”, ask “why” and question the approach not the degree of awareness. If by awareness you mean, seeing, hearing and so on, it may be misleading. So, I guess, we should also get into that. Thank you for reminding us, because, we haven’t talked about what awareness means in this case. Have I confused the subject more?

Q: No, but you haven’t yet spoken about exercises and that is why I was asking. In a way, it is also a bit overwhelming for an average reader or listener to understand what you are saying. On one hand, you are speaking of miracles; and on the other, you are explaining it in such ordinary terms. If we speak of it in ordinary terms, it makes sense, but then not all of us experience these miracles of which you speak.

H: I think this is getting us somewhere, because I think most people want to experience something very real and tangible, and at the same time miraculous. They want "all that money can buy” like it is said, “and they want the best for the least money”. It is a bit of a joke, but in a way it is true. When most people have forgotten about what it means to have a quiet mind, there is no sense in talking about miracles. But if someone who is truly interested, spent two months of sincere seeking, it is impossible not to experience a miracle. How about that for your money? Well it is not hard to do, but unfortunately for most it is in times of desperate need that they pay special attention to miracles. What is even more unfortunate is that miracles do happen, but many explain it away with their minds. I mean, it is our ungratefulness and forgetfulness that prevents the world from constant miracles. So, we have to ask ourselves, "Have I really consistently given at least two to three months of my life to something as important as this with earnestness?

You want to honestly know why you should believe in Angels, for no other reason but to discover? Spend two months of researching the topic without bias and prejudice. Produce the literature, keep watch and see what comes your way, cross reference, hear of all aspects on the subject, and you will have an experience yourself. Just set a date from today. Set the date and keep watch. If you do and then say nothing happened, my answer would be, it is because you have explained it away. I would not believe it if you said, nothing happened. In fact this has happened many times, when someone tells me nothing happens and I assure them that something did. They simply doubt it, because their mind is too active. Once a young girl who was very open and sensitive said to me, “How do you see the light of the Angels?” I said, “Have you asked the Angels? Because I know you could see it in no time.” She was surprised by my answer, because she then explained to me her experience the night prior. It was a sure sign and a most miraculous experience, except that she had explained it away by using her mind. So spend two months and do something like an "Angel Vigil"; in other words, make it a point to research, reflect, and contemplate the presence of your angels, and leave the subject aside altogether, disengage the mind, and just let it be. I am sure you will then have a very clear experience without the mind's interference.

Angels 4

Q: Your comment about swimming in the shallow water and returning to shore really struck home with me. I recall my experience at the beach in Santa Cruz, when my attention was turned to the tides, and I stepped into the waves around my ankles. I hear the voice of my intuition and guardian Angels telling me that I have started something, “Now watch.”

As I stood there the rhythm of the waves changed and they came in one right after the other, with no breaks between. The water kept inching up my legs until it got to my hips, and then I got scared and stepped back to the shore. I hear laughter, and my teachers telling me that this was the power of God that I had unleashed in myself, and this is what I had started. There is no ending. Now I understand even more the effects of fear. Had I been fearless that day I would have allowed the ocean, or more to the point, the love that is offered to me, to consume me. Did I need to fear what would have happened to me? I don't think so, but then that's the problem, I still think too much. And I understand that after intense Angelic and divine experiences, or "supernatural" experiences, it is almost impossible to go back to who we were before, but fear keeps us from moving forward at a pace we would like to go. At least that's how it is for me. But I'm starting to learn that it really isn't as hard as I like to make it. Mostly for me it is as simple as saying "yes" when I am called. Then I discover the rest takes care of itself. Or should I say the angels take care of the rest.

H: Fear keeps coming up again and again. It is one of those never ending subjects. So here, there are three aspects to what you have said that I would like to point to. First of all, thanks for being so candid. As to the points you have made about calling on the guidance and the response you receive, irrespective of how it comes, through intuition, a simple sign, or as clear as the waters rising, we have something important happening there.

Remember when we were there having the experience together, there were others present. Now, if you can recall the overall sense of the journey, you will recall that we all experienced a rapid shifting of what I call “tides”, because energetically, deep inside it does feel like the tides rising and falling. So, first there is all the symbolism that goes with the experience. We don’t have to get carried away by the mind’s fears or interpretations, anticipation, “What does it mean? What does it mean,” and it just keeps going. You see, the first expression coming your way, and the impression it leaves you with; what is that? The etymology of “ex-” is “out of”, and of “im-” is “in”. So, now think about that: expression, impression. See, how it just fits? Now, what was your stance in the situation? Because out of the rising and falling, there you were. In a way, we were all like children falling down and getting up. But this reminds us of how quickly we were able to rise up, dust off, and take a stance. And now, you have trouble taking a stance don’t you? So, you had to run back to shore. I am glad you remembered this incident. Again, thanks for being so candid and making yourself vulnerable for this lesson that you have offered all of us. You know I am not picking on you; just allowing the lessons to unfold. There is more there, but I think it is personal and it has to be looked at individually. Just remember the whole group dynamic, who was there, and review. You will see what I mean. We often get knocked down, don’t we? And we invite people to do that to us, until we learn to finally stand without falling.

The next lesson is perhaps more important and less personal. It continues the same theme, but relates to our sensibilities and conscience. Think of the words conscientious, conscience, and take them apart a bit. “Con-” means “with”, “science” means “knowledge or study of”, and the word conscientious is translated (in the Online Merriam Webster Dictionary) as, “conforming to the dictates of conscience.” Now, review this a few times and play with it in your mind. It makes sense, doesn’t it? Again, in light of the company and dynamic of our learning lessons, especially the dynamic at that time, we find that some of us need those experiences that knock us down. Whether it is the ocean’s tides or others, we see how things appear on the outside. It seems there is no mercy. People are not conscientious; they lack conscience. And it is the same with nature. Remember the experience I had in Brazil, in which I almost drowned. It is the same. But suddenly, through the deep silence, something happens that we never forget. In your case it was the way you were shown very clearly while the waves were rising. In my case, I almost drowned. Now, it certainly gets our attention, doesn’t it?

Now, I want to ask you something, and we will continue with this subject of fear. We will also eventually discuss the comment about prayers. But here, tell me this, if you will. It will help us understand each other better and shed light on the whole subject. Also, remember that I can not reveal more than what is revealed. In other words, we have to do our part, to show that we are interested in all this. We have to get deep within the foundations, every crack, nook, and corner, if we want to really inquire. So, tell me this if you will please. Reflecting on what has been said so far. How do you think you are affected by those who knock you down? Without the need to get too personal, we can get into the principles here. Because that is what this is about, and it will also touch on fear. Of course when a child gets knocked down, she is afraid. Let us start there. We have all been knocked down and thrown around many times, no? And we then start responding to fear. It seems, in many cases we actually respond only to fear. Okay I am getting ahead here. I know you can expand on this in your own way, and then we will continue.

Angels 2

Continuation of Angels 1

Q: So when you speak of paying close attention to what is good, and focusing on our good words, thoughts, and deeds, do you mean that we are to disregard the bad? How do we address negative words, thoughts and deeds?

H: I think we should discuss what may constitute negativity in general. We have talked about some of the most general categories of what may feel negative to us. There are many forms of fear and judgment. Almost every negative emotion can be traced to a set of judgments. But any of these words, like fear and judgment, can also be examined without being labeled as negative or positive. So how should we begin this segment?

Q: You have also mentioned that there are ways in which we could very tangibly sense the presence of the Angels. You have also added that we could attribute many miraculous occurrences in our lives to the Angels. There are probably many people who would like to understand that better.

H: Actually, we spoke of how our good works go before us. In other words, all that is good, in word, deed, or thought summons the angelic realm. This is a very important starting point. If we pay attention to this simple fact, without expecting miraculous and extraordinary things to happen, the miraculous will happen. Are you ready for some good stories? I think this is the best way I could show you what I am speaking of.

Q: I think that what really intrigues me also is when you speak of those who have cultivated the belief in the Angels and say that miraculous things occur around them quite naturally. This is interesting, because many people would not know what you are talking about unless they were there to experience it.

H: Actually, I believe, many people are experiencing it. It is just that they need to pay closer attention to the subtle occurrences all around them. They have to stop and take a breath between their busy interactions, schedules, and the usual routine. Random is the key word here. Such things occur randomly, when we least expect them.

Q: Alright, could you lead us into this discussion with some concrete examples? And also, I am very curious about what you mean when you speak of spiritual workers who experience such things often, and exactly how it could help the rest of us. We are all busy running around and doing things between work, school, parents, and general chores, with all the roles we play. I want to get down to what you are really saying here.

H: Well, you know, I think if I were to enlist my daily experiences, we then have the problem of comparing personal experiences. But I think I could begin with a series of occurrences that are quite common with most of us. And I want to stay with the theme here. We are speaking of cultivating belief, and I want to also expand on the subject of how we sense negative and positive beliefs, and more importantly, how do we face them.

But there is a problem here. Many people will read these words, and I say this from experience, and they will interpret them with their minds. They will process this as they normally process information in their mind’s data banks. So, I will just say that I had to really change my general perception of things before I understood what I am speaking of. And I have to also add that, I am not sure if this can benefit those who persist in processing information based on the linear point to point thinking that is their general pattern. So, I guess, I am saying that this kind of thinking is not common. I am not judging it; I am just saying that has been the case for me. Usually people who are compelled to think this way are individuals who have given much of themselves in the discovery of such things. Most people swim in the shallow waters and return to shore. Very few will dare swim in deep waters. When you deal with such subjects, it is the same. It takes some courage. I am explaining all this, because I know the rest of what I am about to say and some of the stories I am about to disclose are termed “out there”, but I think the reason for this material is to demystify such things.

Here is one story. When I was in Athens, Greece, I experienced my first surgery. I was under anesthetics for the first time. What lead to the surgery was six months of excruciating pain attacks that were undiagnosed by medical doctors in the US. When I was slipping into a complete unconscious state, the Anesthesiologist, who was present over me, was deeply concerned. Although I was in a sense unconscious, I felt her concerns and sensed her thoughts. Then I saw how through her vocals, her arms, and her heart, the angels were working on me. She was not aware that this was happening, but her level of care simply attracted the energies into the room and her presence was serving the Angels. It was very awe inspiring to watch. I saw all this, and when the angels had completed their work, as I regained consciousness and contracted back into my body –I say contracted because it was after feeling very expansive that I was again brought to this physical locale, and it was the Angels’ presence through this concerned doctor that brought me back. In fact, I did not want to come back, because I was in a place of absolute bliss. My body and soul responded only to her when she called my name. When I returned to my fully conscious state, I returned with a big smile on my face saying, "My Angel is calling me." This of course surprised my Anesthesiologist.

I think this story comes to mind, because it goes to show these things happen all the time, we are just not aware of them. So, the question often is, why are some aware and not others? And also, when people become aware, even by having a glimpse, they usually get thrown off balance, I mean, at least they seem to become somewhat dysfunctional by social standards. There are all these problems surrounding those who become aware of such things. People often make such experiences into phenomenal miracles with only positive results, but I think that is only half the picture. Read the research done on near death experiencers conducted by P.M.H. Atwater and watch her youtube interviews. You will see what I am talking about. Such experiences are no joke. Life after such experiences is not easy, but that does not mean it is supposed to be. The whole spectrum of life is worth living. Actually, the reason why I want to focus a bit on what is “good” or how we define goodness is for this very reason, because we are usually stuck in how the mind defines what is good. And I am not exactly an optimist in the usual sense of the word, so goodness may mean something entirely different to me. And those who have such experiences, in many cases, struggle with their mind even more so than those who do not. Add to the mix a number of people with such experiences, and we have a real good time of feeling sane, according to the status quo that is.

It sounds like we are going off topic here, but I don’t think we are. We are continuing to expand on what we have shared in the previous section.

Q: No, I don’t think we are off the subject either. But, this makes me wonder, how many times the Angels may have worked through my arms, as you say?

H: Long ago I listened to a series of discourses by Avatar Sri Pranananda. I believe I can share his words, given I have also received personal blessings and consent from him to share my encounters with him. I remember, while listening to his tape series, The Many Voices of God, I broke down in tears when I heard him say that we are the hands and feet through whom the heavens work. This was many years ago, but the words are quite close, I am sure. I don’t know why this particular statement touched me so much, but soon after listening to this particular statement and the simplicity by which it was delivered, I recalled many instances when something like that had happened to me. I think it is the same with everyone, and this is what I want to turn our attention to.

How many times have you performed good acts at random and you just don’t know what happened, but something very profound has happened? I don’t care how you judge it now or how your mind interpreted it thereafter, but how many times has this happened? Enough times, I am sure. I can assure you the Angels were present. So, let us get into this a bit, because there is something very special happening here.

Q: When I was a nurse in the hospital there were many instances when people shared their deepest stories that no one else knew. You could say these were their secrets. Many of them were under drugs. Sometimes they were sober, but they needed someone to talk to. And as we keep talking, I wonder, did they mean it when said, “You are my Angel?"

H: That is exactly my point. You were listening to them, but now with what is being said, I think it is fair to say, the Angels were listening. I mean, when you opened your heart and listened with good intent, the Angels were listening too. Your good intentions invited that presence.

We know that we are not a physical entity. And we know that there are other dimensions to our being. We now know these things scientifically as well. I am not going to get into it too much, but around our physical bodies, and within, are many veils of energy. The angelic realm encompasses and embraces certain aspects of these layers of our being. So when I say cultivating belief in the Angels, I mean literally believing in our own goodness. But I have a different definition for goodness than many. Please remember that most of what I say comes from my own intuition and spiritual experiences. So, the quickest way to say what goodness means is to mention the word truthfulness. I am purposely guided to quickly turn our attention away from the word “good” the way we normally think of it, and now think of truthfulness, because when we say “good” we might get stuck in what is considered good by others. It is better to stress truthfulness. When you are truthful you quickly bypass the mind’s detours and dark tunnels. You get right into your energy bodies. When you listened to the stories of some of those patients, and when they shared them, it was a moment of truthfulness.

Q: Wow, I never thought of it that way.

H: So if we were to summarize what we have said and highlight some important aspects of this discussion, I think we should stress two factors involved. First, the Angels work with us at random; and secondly, truthfulness is the key to experiencing the presence of the Angels with all their might and the attributes we have mentioned. I often say, the greater Beings know us better, and that also includes our own greater Self, which is not separate from the Angels or God. So, every hidden agenda is not so hidden to our inner most Self, our Angels and Guardians, and most certainly everything is naked before the All of All.

Angels 1

"We Are the Angels" Dialogue and Discussion

Questioner(s): Why have you decided to share a message on the existence of Angels?

Houman: While traveling through Athens, Greece last year, it became clear to me that the existence of the Angels could assist my spiritual growth more than I had imagined. I was visited in a series of dreams, visions, meditations and prayers, and I was told to invoke the presence of the Angels repeatedly. In so doing, my health, which was on the decline at the time, and recurring hardships within my relations were assisted. In cases of emergency we tend to pay attention to every little thing that could help, especially when what is asked of us is simple.

Q: … and so the publication of this Blog! How do you think this can help others?

H: Let me say how this can help me first. Yes, I am a bit selfish, in order to know my self, that is. When the Angels made it clear that their presence had helped me more than once, they added by telling that if I shared their messages it would help my spiritual growth, including protecting me from the negative influences of those who, knowingly or unknowingly, get in the way of my service. This of course includes saving myself from my own negativity. I should add, that the angel’s presence had already been made very clear to me soon after my divorce in 2002, but I guess we need more reminders. If I could prevent negative influences within myself, and extend that in my service, then I have reached my goal. Others can do the same.

Q: What is your goal?

H: I mean the continuation of my service. I can not put my service into words easily. Do you have time for the 1001 Arabian Nights? Just kidding. My service is simple. It has three parts to it. First, to uncover the many myths surrounding spiritual growth, and especially spiritual healing, because I have had to suffer a lot and I have had to learn to heal myself; second, to make spiritual healing central in one’s life because it has saved my life more than once; lastly, to create and disseminate an educational curriculum based on my healing experiences and knowledge. An important part of that healing journey has been a closer examination of trauma from a spiritual perspective, because I believe traumas provide the greatest teachings in our life. A great Sage, known as Lord Ali, has been known to say, “Experience is your greatest teacher.” If experience is your greatest teacher, trauma is the greatest of your greatest teachers. But I think we could begin here with the Angels.

I should also add that there is much I am still learning about the subject. The truth is, so much has happened that I do not understand, which I am still learning. It is the vitality of these experiences which inspire me to share and serve others, because I know how important it has been for my own healing journey. Therefore, I am certain about my own experiences.

I want to say that the Angels are recorders, transmitters, gatekeepers, fighters, defenders, protectors and guiding forces in our lives. These are some of the major qualities attributed to the Angels. There are many more, but we can begin here. Secondly, I want to emphasize that for those who seek to uplift their lives into a state of joy and happiness, invoking the presence of one’s Angels could tremendously help. Not only is it helpful in healing, but more importantly, and especially for spiritual workers, it is necessary. As I said, firstly, to alleviate negative influences, but also the playfulness, innocence and child-like quality within us are in themselves angelic. And the angelic realm is not separate from us. In other words, we each have angelic qualities that unite us with the angelic realm.

Q: Who is going to benefit from this information? I mean, there are many who don’t even believe in the subject and are skeptical. But in general, I wonder who could benefit from this subject apart from those who are interested in metaphysical teachings. How about those who practice particular doctrines that say it is witchcraft to practice any form of invocations, cantations, or divination? Many people are afraid when this subject comes up?

H: Alright, I suggest we start with the first point, which I think answers most of your concerns except for the last one: fear. Lets address the others, and I think it is an important question.

People are in general always interested in being happy and joyful. I don’t think there is anyone who would disagree. Even if you have given up on everything, there is still some part of you that yearns for joy and happiness. So in that sense, as we have said, the Angels’ presence brings about that state of innocence, playfulness, and child-like purity that we all seek, which means it is for everyone. Now, it is also equally true that belief is that activator. In other words, such information hardly works for one who does not believe in it, and in this case, the belief in Angels. However, it could very well be that one person does not believe in it while another who strongly believes, could activate those powers within the one who does not. But even when another may be able to produce a miracle before your eyes, and even create miraculous healing within your body, it is only temporary if you do not ultimately work on the issue of cultivating faith. But the issue of faith is also tricky, because it is not about whether you have acquired knowledge of the Angels or metaphysics. It is about the sincerity by which one approaches the whole subject. We can get into it more, but I think for now that is enough.

If we have time, I would like to also address the cases in which, one who may have no conscious belief may experience the greatest miracles, like the presence of the Angels, while another who may profess to believe, and even practices some form of belief for years, may not have such experience. There is also the case of those who may strongly oppose, but that is only because they have not seen an example of the sort. But in the end, if one opposes inwardly and outwardly, it is not possible to convince such a person. They will always turn even the most tangible results into some kind of trickery. For example, when I was in Brazil at the healing sanctuary of João Teixeira de Faria, known as John of God, a renowned spiritual healer and medium who has produced wondrous results, those who oppose inwardly and outwardly, still find ways to dismiss him. There are medical records, doctors who have visited and continue to visit and document healings, photos, and even things people experience sensually, but it does not suffice those who oppose inwardly and outwardly.

So everyone benefits, and even those who are skeptical and have opposition, but not when the opposition is beyond mere asking and sincere seeking. So when the opposition is inward and outward, it is not possible to penetrate such a person. And within all of us are such places of opposition. I like to remind myself often, because this is not just addressing other people. We all have very strong opposition in certain areas within us and in our life, which is why no healing or positive influence can take root. So, in that case, I guess, all we can do is meditate, pray and do our best, for the right timing and guidance to come our way.

Fear is the strongest opposition in everyone. So, let us stay with that for a while, because you could have strong faith, and yet experience fear. And I believe those who put up the strongest opposition do so due to fear. I have done that too, and I still do. That is more important to address, because even when we experience the greatest miracles, we are still haunted by fear. So I think it is more important to address our individual fears, because then we could address and transform the fear of those who surround us, no matter the height of their fear. For example, in the case of John of God, he would at least put people in a state of wonder long enough for them to allow sometime. Given a timeline of several weeks, most people will believe. And there are still some who will not. This is due to the fact that he is not afraid, and he has demonstrated that on many levels. But anyways, even those who believe on some level still need to work on other levels. Even the greatest avatars and Sages have cultivated faith to the last of their days, which means; so long as the ego is present there are certain degrees of fear. It is this point that should be addressed, our inner fear, and not outside opposition, because ultimately nothing outside of us can manipulate us if we believe. When we allow fear, is when we turn doubtful and turn negative influences against ourselves. So, when it comes to the issue of outside opposition, skepticism and attack, we have to examine ourselves to see how it effects us, because only we turn it against ourselves. If it brings up discomfort in us, we should be thankful to the opposition, because now we can address certain areas of our own fear and learn. If we don’t turn doubt and fear against ourselves, there can be no opposition.

The subject is quite naturally turning our attention again to ridding ourselves of fear, judgment, and in general, negative influences. So we are back to the subject of negative influences and how the Angels could help us. People often bring up the topic of protecting themselves from negative influences, but I also often stress that whatever anyone experiences is for them to experience and they should not resist it. Instead, examine what it brings up for you and learn. However, instead of resisting negative influences we could cultivate faith. Instead of focusing on the negative, focus on the greater good that is present. To say, “I believe” is not enough. To my knowledge, one has to cultivate faith; otherwise, merely saying “I believe” may be blind faith and that is not what we are talking about. Actually that is harmful.

Q: So to summarize for all readers, could we say that this material is for anyone who wants to cultivate the belief in the Angels?

H: Yes, thank you. And I have to add, that for me as for others, it will greatly improve the quality of our service. As I have said, some of the main qualities attributed to Angels are: Recorder, Transmitter, Gatekeeper, Fighter, Defender, Protector, and Guide. Let me add that since the word “fight” may bring up conflict and violence in the mind, I do not mean it outwardly. Although in exceptional cases, we have heard of the Angels summoning certain leaders to fight in battles, I think that these cases have to be examined very closely; otherwise, it could lead to many misunderstandings. To me the word “fight” as I have said earlier means, battling our fears. We could simply say the fight against our inner demons. And I will add a few other qualities: Healer, Demonstrator, Lover, … and you know, in a way, I can go on adding every human quality possible, because as I have said Angels are an aspect of who we are.

Drunvalo Melchizedek, a modern teacher in metaphysics, has the following story in the beginning of his well known book series, Flower of Life. He says that when the Angels appeared to him first, after a series of frequent initiations, meditations, and prayers, they said to him “We are you.” This is a very important message, because as Carl Jung has said, and I read it somewhere long ago, “The mind can not go beyond itself.” And even God has said that we were created in His image. All this means that somehow we contain the image of every created being on earth and in heaven. It is hard to explain this point, but nevertheless, this should be our starting point in cultivating faith in the heavens and the Angels. My guardian Angels often remind me, “In your visions we are aspects of you; in essence we are you.” This is very important, because somehow this brings to mind the interconnected tapestry of all life and it reminds us of our individual responsibility. We have to always remind ourselves that whatever we are looking for is not out there.

Q: Very good, so there are ways to show people how to cultivate their belief in the Angels. And the Angels are aspects of who we are. So how could we begin?

H: I want to also add that when I say every human quality can be attributed to the Angels, it could be confusing, because then there is the question of “What about negative human qualities?” It can get complicated if we get into Fallen Angels, Dark Angels, and so on. But for now, let us just say, I mean every positive human quality.

The first thing we could do to cultivate our belief in Angels, is to focus on what is good. The reason why prayers of gratitude and positive affirmations have been so widely used and proven to work, at least on some levels, is because any “goodness” summons the Angels. So here is what the Angels have revealed to me. These are some basic beginning steps.

· Focus on what is good. Draw out the good from every situation, word, deed, and thought. Find the simplest way to focus on your own good words, deeds, and thoughts. Draw them, write about them, sing them, and do whatever helps you to remember and give some attention to them. Spend sometime reflecting on them. Specially note them down when someone reminds you of them.
· Enumerate what is good. Remember, the mind works in steps and numbers. When you give your mind markers along the path, it performs much better. It needs routine and order. So, find the simplest ways to enumerate your good words, thoughts and deeds.
· Be grateful towards the good in your life. If you find five things that are good, express gratitude for five things throughout that day. Give yourself at least a minute to enumerate them and express them in some form. Express them in your prayers, to your friends, write them, and continue until it becomes second nature.

Eventually I want to talk about healing with the Angels. But, we could also get into the specifics of how to more tangibly sense the presence of the Angels. However, whatever I introduce will be very simple. The simple stuff is what we usually ignore.
